Van Insurance: Get a Quote

The Vehicle(s)

• Van make, model and registration mark.
• An approximate value of your vehicle (if you have no idea, you can find this out by checking prices of similar vehicles for sale).
• The GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight), this is normally noted in Kilograms on your Vechicle Registration document (V5) and can help identify different models with the same name.
• Details of any modifications.
• Information about any attachments the van may have, such as a cherry picker or water tank.
• Where it is stored overnight, i.e. garage, drive, road.

The Driver(s)

• How many people you want to be able to drive the van.
• If you want to limit the cover to named drivers or opt for an 'any driver' policy (naming drivers tends to be the cheaper option whereas 'any driver' policies provide more flexibility).
• The name, date of birth and licence date of additional drivers.
• The date and details of any driver's claims, accidents or convictions.
• The amount that was paid out if there have been any claims.
• How many years No Claims Bonus the company owners or directors have.

Use

• What the vehicle is used for.
• Any other use whether of a personal or a business nature (all our Van policies include cover for personal use as standard).
• What goods you might carry (your insurer should be made aware if you are carrying hazardous goods such as fuels or gas cylinders).
• If you use a trailer you may need extra cover (we provide 3rd party cover for trailers as standard).
• Where the vehicle may be used (we offer 3rd party cover as standard for use in the European Union).
