My name is Natalie and I own Florique the Florist in Weybridge, Surrey.
I love flowers. I love being creative. For me the best thing about being self employed is I guess it's the fulfilment of achieving of what you want to achieve and making other people happy.
You've got to have a strong mentality to stick at it because it's so easy to give up. It's easier to say it's not going to work rather than really try and make it work.
Some of the concerns with running a small business are worrying about insurance, whether I am covered. If I have an accident, it's a reassurance to know if that does happen that I am covered and I haven't lost a load of money for the business.
If you've got an idea and you’ve got the finances to start it go for it. Because there is nothing worse than not knowing. If you don't give it a go, you’ll never know.
I think in 5 years time I want the shop to speak for itself – to have that reputation. I also want the security – I'm not doing this as a short term thing, I want this as my future. I want it to be something that really does work, that I'm hugely proud of.
