Over 60 new designers will show their work at Alternative Fashion Week, starting from 21 April.
According to organisers Alternative Arts, the exhibitors have been selected from hundreds of applications from recent fashion and textile graduates and independent designers looking to set up their own businesses.
"Alternative Fashion Week provides innovative young designers with a real opportunity to show their work to the press, public and the fashion industry," said Maggie Pinhorn, director of the event.
"Every year hundreds of designers apply to be part of this exciting event, hoping to establish their label and attract buyers and journalists from all over the world."
Original and recycled materials are expected to feature heavily within the ranges of womenswear, menswear, headwear, footwear, workwear and leisurewear.
The event will be held in the Spitalfields Traders Market, and will include a fashion market which will open from 12 noon to 3pm each day.
