Final call for startups competition
Would-be entrepreneurs are being urged to submit their business plans to a national competition by the end of Wednesday.
The Be Your Own Boss Challenge takes place this weekend at One Life Live 2008, an exhibition that offers advice, support and inspiration to anyone considering a change to their career or lifestyle.
Those who are either new in business or contemplating setting up their own firm are eligible for the BT-sponsored competition. Submissions can be made through the online entry form, before midnight on 27 February.
During the live event, 24 finalists will present their business ideas in front of a panel of judges. In return, they will each be given 15 minutes of tailored advice.
The entrant with the business plan deemed most likely to succeed will receive prizes including £2,000 in cash, a laptop and a package of internet services.
One Life Live 2008 takes place at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London, and runs from 29 February to 2 March.
